Now iRobot Roomba’s Work With Amazon Alexa

Increasingly the cyber and physical worlds are converging

iRobot Roomba’s can be controlled by Amazon Alexa/Echo. This is yet another in a long line of indicators that the cyber and physical worlds are converging.

This new robot from iRobot also comes with smartphone control. You can use the roomba like any old one, or can use your Echo or App to clean, schedule and set preferences.

The Roomba itself has continued to evolve over earlier models, it cleans better and runs longer.

Roomba 980 seamlessly navigates room to room to clean an entire level of your home, recharging and resuming until the job is done. The powerful cleaning system automatically increases air power up to 10x on carpets, where it’s needed most. Just press clean or schedule Roomba on the go with the iRobot HOME App.
