Big Data
Big Data is a relative term. It implies doing things with more data tomorrow than you can do today. It also implies continuous improvement in your enterprise IT designs and architecture. The point of big data is almost always having better analytical capabilities. It is all about analysis.
The category is important for non technologists to track. Society needs to come to grips with how data is being created, stored and protected. This includes your personal data and information you might think should be protected but is not. There are also Internet of Things components of the Big Data topic. The many IoT devices we are bringing into our houses and workplaces are all collecting and processing incredible amounts of data that are in need of better analysis.
And all of that needs better protection!
